Postpartum Doula Kelly
I met my husband Dave 14 years ago during a summer vacation in the Florida Keys. At the time I was still living in Frankfurt/Germany, where I was born and raised. Dave and I enjoyed our careers (I worked as an interpreter for a credit card company). We traveled all over the world; until - already in our late 30's - we kind of unexpectedly became parents.
Our son is now 9 years old. I became a stay-at-home-mom and came to the realization that I had spent too many hours of my life in offices and cubicles and that I really got a lot of joy out of this Suzy-homemaker-lifestyle! I just love cooking, baking, (as well as eating the finished products), cleaning house, making it look cozy... My friends say I am like that because I had a life and a career for so many years before I had family that I don't miss it the least; and they are probably right . My hobbies are just as "happy-home-related" as one might expect: sewing, knitting, crafts and baking. I manage our church's craft-group and I give knitting lessons.
The first time that I stepped in as a "Mom's helper" for one of Dawn's and Sue's clients was about nine months ago. I baby-sit, cook, bake, clean, do laundry, iron, run errands... Maybe just one day a week. For a pregnant lady with morning sickness and a toddler running around, this might be just what Mom needs.

Tara Curtis CD(DONA)
Hi! My name is Tara Curtis. I am married to the man of my dreams and we have 3 beautiful children, ages 7, 6 and 4. Some of my hobbies are reading, cooking, baking, watching movies and playing board games. I am active at my children’s schools, as well as activities in my church. I am a DONA certified Birth Doula. I started Doula(ing) over 10 years ago with my friends and family members. About 6 years ago, I was asked by a nurse if I was a Doula. I couldn’t wait to find out what a Doula was and how I really could become one. I found DONA information online, took my training as soon as I could find a class nearby and have been assisting women take their journey into motherhood as a Doula since then. I couldn’t be happier! I have experience with natural, epidural, cesarean and water births. Having had 3 different birth experiences, I feel as though I can offer comfort and support to other women through the birth of their baby. I have always found birth to be an exciting time and I am constantly honored to be witness to the beginning of a new life.
